Our Incident Response Process
When a security incident occurs, we follow a structured response process:
- Detection & containment — identify the scope and contain the incident immediately
- Assessment — determine what data was affected, how many users are impacted, and the root cause
- Notification — notify affected users by email as required by applicable law. Update this page where appropriate
- Remediation — fix the root cause, deploy patches, and verify the fix
- Post-mortem — we aim to publish a post-incident report with timeline, root cause, impact, and preventive measures
What We Disclose
For every confirmed security incident, we publish:
- Incident ID and title
- Date of occurrence and date of detection
- Impact description — what was affected
- Root cause — what went wrong
- Users affected — number and type
- Data exposed — what data, if any, was compromised
- Remediation — what was done to fix it
- Preventive measures — what we changed to prevent recurrence
